Ep 2: Anchor, island & waves: Attachment Theory (Ft. Lucille Shackleton)
Do you know what’s your attachment style? In this week’s episode, Yancy explores and deconstructs Attachment theory with behavioural scientist and counsellor, Lucille Shackelton. Attachment theory is founded on the idea that our caregiver-child relationship dynamics shape how we hold close intimate connections as adults. In essence: “your attachment style is a blueprint of your basic assumptions about safety and trust*.” Yancy and Lucille discuss the theory’s history, its four distinct attachment styles, and the sometimes uncomfortable questions it invokes!
